Black Cat Syndicate has provided an update on the Myhree/Boundary open pits at its Kal East Gold Project, including pouring the first gold doré from Myhree ore ahead of schedule.
Myhree was discovered by Black Cat post-listing in 2018, with pre-strip and ore production commencing on 26 July 2024.
The company said that open pit mining is progressing safely and ahead of schedule.
Black Cat said that Myhree ore has been mined to 20m below the surface, with waste removal now a priority. A 200t excavator is onsite and is prioritising bulk waste movement to further expedite the company’s schedule.
Black Cat’s Managing Director, Gareth Solly, said that excellent progress is being made on all fronts as the company continues the pre-strip and gold production build.
“The first ore parcel has been hauled and processed at Paddington, resulting in first doré from Myhree.
“As we transition to a production organisation, results for Myhree/Boundary will be shown monthly during 2024 and thereafter quarterly,” Mr Solly said.
