Brightstar Resources has reported the completion of its largest-ever processing campaign, delivering a record haul from its operations in Western Australia’s Laverton hub.
The company produced approximately 6300 ounces (oz) of recovered gold during its Parcel 4 campaign in November, processing 83,166 tonnes of ore at an average grade of 2.84 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. This result marks the company’s largest processing parcel to date in terms of both tonnage and contained gold.
The strong performance was driven by the first campaign sourced exclusively from the company’s high-grade underground mines, Second Fortune and Fish.
This follows a significant operational milestone in October, when Brightstar achieved record monthly ore sales of 36,000 tonnes at 2.8g/t, for approximately 3,200oz.
Brightstar reported the discovery of the high-grade ‘FTV lode’ at the Second Fortune project. This new zone has extended the known orebody strike by over 30 per cent and returned vein grades as high as 67.4g/t gold.
“Our operational performance continues to strengthen with this fourth parcel highlighting what our operating assets can deliver from a steady state,” Brightstar managing director Alex Rovira said.
“At Second Fortune, the FTV lode represents an opportunity to fundamentally redefine our Second Fortune operation.
“The FTV lode presents an immediate opportunity to introduce low-capital, high-margin ounces that extend well beyond our current life of mine plan.”
Rovira said that cash generation is ramping up in line with increased ore volumes and the Australian dollar gold price, which traded above $6200/oz during the period.
Preparation is underway for Brightstar’s fifth processing parcel, scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
