Four Victorian women have been recognised for their professional success, leadership and advocacy for women in the resources sector at the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) 2024 Victorian Women in Resources Awards.
The Victorian winners will progress to the national Women in Resources Awards in September.
The MCA said that there was an extremely high calibre of applicants for the awards, with women making a significant contribution to the industry through leadership and promotion of diversity in the resources sector.
The 2024 Victorian Women in Resources Award winners are:
- Exceptional Woman in Victorian Resources – Fiona Czuczman, S2 Resources
- Exceptional Young Woman in Victorian Resources – Shannon Brown, Geological Survey of Victoria

- Outstanding Trade Operator or Technician in Victorian Resources – Alina Miller, Deepcore Drilling
- Gender Diversity Champion in Victorian Resources – Felicity Davy, Agnico Eagle – Fosterville Gold Mine.
The winners come from a broad range of backgrounds and pathways, including community engagement, geoscience and trades – demonstrating mining’s diverse workforce.
The awards aim to provide a platform for women to be role models and encourage more women into the mining industry.
