In Australia’s mining sector, where high ambient temperatures, remote installations, and demanding duty cycles are the norm, infrastructure reliability is critical.

From above-ground processing facilities to off-grid electrical rooms and containerised control systems, cooling is essential not only for operational uptime, but for protecting sensitive electronics in unforgiving environments.

Rittal’s expanded Blue e+ Chiller platform is engineered to meet these challenges head-on, offering scalable, efficient, and robust cooling solutions for modern industrial applications, including those in mining and resources.

Performance where it counts: Outdoor and industrial cooling

As mining operations become more decentralised and digitally integrated, climate control systems must be capable of operating in remote, exposed environments with minimal maintenance and maximum precision.

The Blue e+ Outdoor Chiller variant is purpose-built for this role. With a cooling capacity of 4 to 7 kW, it features:

  • A weather-resistant aluminium housing and UV-protected finish
  • Operation in ambient temperatures from –20 °C to +43 °C
  • An integrated heater to prevent freezing in cold starts
  • ±0.5 K temperature stability for electronics protection
  • Inverter-driven components for up to 70 per cent energy savings

Whether installed beside a switchroom, inside a transportable substation, or mounted to containerised power systems, it delivers consistent thermal performance where traditional HVAC may fall short.

A system-based approach to mining infrastructure

The broader Blue e+ Chiller range also includes:

  • Standard Blue e+ Chiller for industrial machinery and electrical enclosures
  • Hybrid IT Chiller with free cooling capability, ideal for ruggedised control centres and edge computing on remote sites

All models are multi-voltage, IoT-ready, and support compliance with future F-Gas regulations, helping mining operators reduce both risk and emissions.

Available now across Australia

With local stock, service support, and engineering guidance, Rittal’s Blue e+ Chiller platform offers mining and resource operators a future-ready climate-control solution built for the extremes of Australia’s environment.
