Evolution Mining has announced the appointment of a new Chief Technical Officer (CTO) who will be responsible for the various technical functions of its operations including long-term planning and operating of projects, studies and other technical services.
Nancy Guay has been appointed to the role, and will commence on 1 June 2024.
Ms Guay has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mining and Processing) with more than 30 years’ experience in the mining sector, including extensive technical and operational expertise.
Ms Guay has worked in various locations and roles with Canada and Australia. She most recently held the role of VP – Technology, Optimisation, and Innovation at Agnico Eagle Mines with oversight of 12 operations worldwide including the Fosterville Gold mine in Victoria.
Evolution Managing Director and CEO, Lawrie Conway, said that he is delighted that Ms Guay has agreed to join Evolution as its CTO.
“Nancy has extensive technical and operational experience in the mining sector for over 30 years,” Mr Conway said.
“She will be a great addition to Evolution and our leadership team. We look forward to her joining us.”
