Evolution Mining has said that based on the work it has completed with external cyber forensic experts, it believes the cyber incident is now contained.
The company does not anticipate that the incident will have any material impact on operations, after becoming aware of a ransomware attack impacting its IT systems on 8 August.
Evolution said the incident has been proactively managed with a focus on protecting the health, safety, and privacy of people, together with the company’s systems and data.
Evolution has reported the attack to the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
