Future-focused mining professionals, global leaders and academics will convene in Sydney from 2–4 September for the 6th International Future Mining Conference 2024, co-hosted by AusIMM and UNSW.

Set to explore transformative technologies, champion innovation and push the boundaries of possibility, this exciting technical mining conference offers delegates a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of emerging industry trends and advancing technologies.

Conference Chair, Serkan Saydam, said, “We are thrilled to confirm that over 100-plus abstracts have been accepted for the International Future Mining Conference 2024, making it the biggest ever technical program for this renowned conference series.”

The exciting three-day technical program has just been released featuring keynote presentations from global experts at BHP, NASA, ICMM, Orica, Fleet Space Technologies and UNSW.

Delegates can also gain thought-provoking insights at five panel discussions and access fantastic networking opportunities – including the Conference Dinner to be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art with panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House.

The 2024 iteration of the conference will focus on five themes: innovations, energy innovations, mining in extreme environments, sustainable mining, and future skills and workforce evolution.

The conference aims to share case studies, research and leading insights to foster collaboration across disciplines to ensure we have the right skills to navigate the emerging technological landscape of the industry and to build the future we need, together.

AusIMM looks forward to welcoming delegates to Sydney in September as industry collectively pushes the boundaries of possibility for a new future of mining.
