International Graphite Limited is increasing its reach with the grant of mining leases for its Springdale Graphite Project near Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun on the south coast of Western Australia.
The latest lease covers the Springdale Central deposits. Mere days ago, the Western Australian Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety granted a lease covering the Mason Bay deposit.
Together, the two leases cover nearly 100 per cent of the existing mineral resources at the Springdale Graphite Project
The mining leases being granted is an important part of the permitting process for the Springdale Project. Flora and fauna assessment and mapping have been completed, with surveys confirming the project area has already cleared for agriculture and that proposed mining activities would have little impact on natural vegetation or wildlife.
A LiDAR drone survey was completed in Q3 2024 and will assist in hydrology assessment, including drilling planned for early 2025.
