Fortescue has announced that a change of name has been approved for the company, after being accepted by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the company held on 21 November 2023.
Formerly known as Fortescue Metals Group, the company will be called Fortescue on the ASX from Tuesday 28 November 2023, while the ASX ticker code will remain unchanged as FMG.
The change of name is intended to reflect the diversification of Fortescue’s operations as an integrated green technology, energy and metals company.
