Alkane Resources has posted a record operational performance for the December 2025 quarter, producing 43,663 gold-equivalent ounces (AuEq oz) and generating significant cash flow across its expanded portfolio.
The strong result was driven by improved output at the company’s Tomingley Gold Operations in New South Wales and the first full quarter of contribution from the Costerfield (Heathcote, Victoria) and Björkdal (Boliden, Sweden) mines following the merger with Mandalay Resources.
Group all-in sustaining costs (AISC) fell to $2739 per AuEq oz, while quarterly production of 42,767 ounces (oz) of gold and 267 tonnes (t) of antimony generated outstanding results.
“It has been an excellent quarter for Alkane,” managing director Nic Earner said.
“Our site operating cashflow was $133 million for the quarter, resulting in a balance sheet with $246 million in cash, bullion and listed investments at quarter end. Our full year guidance of 160,000–175,000oz gold equivalent remains unchanged.”
Tomingley poured 22,089oz of gold, benefiting from the insertion of a mobile crusher to maintain milling rates. Costerfield produced 11,686 AuEq oz, while Björkdal produced 9,888oz of gold.
Exploration highlights included drilling at Björkdal’s Storheden deposit, which doubled the known depth extent and returned intercepts of up to 142 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. At Tomingley, resource-expansion drilling identified a new gold-rich domain adjacent to McLeans.
