Evolution Mining has announced that activity has resumed at the Ernest Henry operation.
This comes after a regional weather event led to the suspension of production activities due to water entering the mine workings in March 2023.
Activity will continue to safely ramp up to reach normal production levels by the end of the June quarter 2023.
The resumption of mining activities is within the previously announced six-week timeframe.
As previously noted in the ASX release from 11 April 2023, the weather impact at Ernest Henry will result in lower gold and copper production of approximately 17,000oz and 10,000t respectively in FY2023, whilst gold and copper production in the March quarter was reduced by approximately 6,400oz and 4,100t respectively.
