Pilbara Minerals has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Dale Henderson has formally commenced the role, after the Company’s long-serving Managing Director and CEO, Ken Brinsden, formally stepped down on 30 July 2022.
Mr Brinsden will continue with the Company as a special advisor and remain as Pilbara Minerals’ nominated director on the POSCO joint venture company until the directorship role is transitioned later within the calendar year.
Pilbara Minerals thanked Mr Brinsden for his leadership of the Company over the last six years. Under his leadership, the company experienced considerable growth for its shareholders and transitioned from an exploration company to an ASX100-listed company.
Commenting on his time with Pilbara Minerals, Mr Brinsden said, “I am incredibly proud of what the team has achieved since 2015. From the initial Pilgangoora project delivery to what it is today, a global lithium producer with plenty more growth to come, it has been an incredible journey. With many highs and testing a few lows, but throughout what sticks most in my mind is the incredible people and partners that I have had the privilege of working with.
“It is these same people that gives me such confidence in the Company’s future. I wish Dale and the team, Board and everyone involved all the very best for the future.
“I would like to thank our shareholders for their support and encouragement during my time leading this great Australian company and I look forward to seeing the Company’s continued progress.”
