Three people have died after a prime mover travelling through Karijini in the Pilbara region was involved in a major collision with another car.
On 10 October, at approximately 3.30pm, a Kenworth prime mover towing two trailers and a second, yet to be identified vehicle, collided with each other on Great Northern Highway, near Munjina Gorge. A fire started as a result of the crash, incinerating both vehicles.
Based on initial information provided to police at the time of the crash, it is believed there may have been one person in the truck and two people in the car at the time of the crash.
At this time all occupants of the vehicles are believed to be deceased.
However, due to the nature of the fire, and ongoing hazardous material risk, police have not been able to approach the vehicles to confirm this.
Major Crash investigators are urging anyone or saw, or who has any information relating to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers
