St George Mining has recommenced its lithium exploration program at the company’s Mt Alexander Project in Western Australia’s Goldfields.
St George Mining’s Executive Chairman, John Prineas, said the company was happy to get the ball rolling on a big exploration program for 2023.
“The extensive field mapping and sampling program has continued to identify new pegmatite outcrop along the 15km pegmatite corridor in our project tenure.”
Mr Prineas said assays from rock chip samples collected in 2022 have been received, confirming that an extension to the area at the Jailbreak Prospect has a pegmatite outcrop with high-grade lithium.
The rock chip assay results have provided further encouragement for the exploration upside at Mt Alexander.
Mr Prineas said these host pegmatites will be priority drill targets in 2023, with drilling scheduled to start in late February.
“We are excited to have commenced the next chapter in our systematic exploration push at Mt Alexander.”
