Signing tenders

The Industry Capability Network (ICN), funded by the Tasmanian Government, is promoting and providing tender advice to Tasmanian subcontractors and suppliers for local, national and international project opportunities.

The ICN is Australia’s largest network of suppliers and projects across Australia and New Zealand, promoting opportunities in major projects and the service capabilities of Australian suppliers.

In the short time since rejoining the network in 2021, ICN Tasmania has advertised opportunities worth hundreds of millions of dollars to Tasmanian businesses.

One such business was Hobart-based company PFG, which used ICN to identify suppliers for customising its Sentinel tactical watercraft.

ICN Limited Chair, Derek Lark, said, “The Board and I have been very impressed with Tasmania’s industry capabilities, especially across the advanced manufacturing, renewable energy and major infrastructure sectors.”

ICN Tasmania has now established a team of dedicated business, tendering and contracting advisers, who assist Tasmanian businesses to win contracts on major government and civil projects across the defence, construction, mining, oil and gas, rail, and manufacturing sectors.

ICN Limited Chief Executive Officer, Warren Jansen, said, “This is great news for businesses in Tasmania looking for new opportunities.

“ICN is committed to supporting home-grown companies and has a national network of consultants to help link suppliers and opportunities.”

Project managers can contact their local ICN office or register their details on the ICN Gateway to find out more.
