The 2024 WA Mining Conference and Exhibition (WA Mining) will showcase all the latest technology to the resources sector, combining digital innovation with operational and executional excellence.

The purpose of WA Mining, according to show director Siobhan Rocks, is to bring the industry’s key players together and give them the opportunity to learn about advanced technology, innovation and analytics.

“With digitalisation and automation such driving forces in the mining industry, it makes sense that new technologies will take centre stage at this year’s event,” Rocks said.

“We’re here to connect mining businesses, and the exhibition floor will showcase the range of technical and digital innovations available across the entire resources value chain.”

Running alongside the exhibition, WA Mining’s highly targeted paid conference is aimed at C-suite and D-suite mining teams and will focus on innovations to help build businesses and prepare them for the challenges in the future.

Ferry Jie, an Associate Professor in supply chain and logistics management at Edith Cowan University will take part in a panel discussion that will discuss how tech-driven mining operations can unlock enhanced efficiency and precision, as well as what the future holds for smart mining.

Jie said he is looking forward to exploring frontiers and the new era of mining innovation with the other panellists.

“I’ll be exploring how advanced technology in mining operations, including automation and real-time data analytics, can improve supply chain performance efficiency and responsiveness,” he said.

Leading consultancy and technology services provider Denver Technology is the lounge sponsor for the 2024 event, and General Manager – Business Development and Customer Success Matthew Clayton said the company is excited to showcase its expertise and build new relationships at WA Mining.

“Our lounge sponsorship at this event reflects our commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation, offering a space for industry professionals to engage with the latest technologies addressing today’s operational challenges,” he said.

WA Mining is a must-attend event for the state’s mining professionals. Visit waminingexpo.com.au/attend to secure your place.

The 2024 WA Mining Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9–10 October.
